Liphook and Ripsley III
So after a couple of weeks off playing cricket due to other commitments, I had another go this week. We were away at Silchester which is a bit of a trek. And it spent quite a lot of the afternoon raining!
The game was eventually abandoned which was a shame as it was building towards a very tense climax. In a low scoring game, with Messers Duckworth and Lewis giving a helping hand, Silchester needed 29 from the 10 overs with only 4 wickets left. I reckon we might have done it, but it was very dark, very cold and very wet, so common sense took us off the pitch and into the warmth.
This is me batting. I went in when our score was 88/7, and top scored with 27 not out. Sadly, I ran out of partners, but I had helped the score build to 140. My average is now standing at a very healthy 32 :-)
