THEN AND NOW AGAIN

First of all apologies for yesterday when I said about the motorbikes for next weekend due to Mike Myers - well of course you all know that I meant Dave Myers don't you!!!!  Many thanks to CumbriaLass for letting me know.  My sort of excuse is I was thinking of CumbriaLass and her hubby MIKE and Robbie of course in Barrow - if you get what I mean  - no hope for me is there!!!  You can see a few changes but not too many.  I couldn't get the exact angle due to parked vehicles, but close enough I think.

A very busy day today.  So I started off earlyish by completing (sort of) my Then and Now project for the U3A camera club for Thursday,

This house, which is now a number of holiday apartments I think, there may be one or two that are full residents not too sure on that.   It was originally marked as Kents Bank Inn on the 1st edition of the Six Inch Ordnance Survey map, surveyed in the late 1840s. The building is a listed property, noted for its architectural features like timber canted bay windows and glazing bar sashes. It is situated near the railway station and the promenade, and is described as being in a peaceful, yet convenient location.

The photo in extras is at the top of Kirkhead Road now that was really hard to do as it has changed completely and once again I couldn't get the exact angle due to parked vehicles and it was difficult to get the exact location as there is now wide open space to the left, just loads of houses.  Interesting project though and one I've quite enjoyed doing.
