Loch Tummel
On our last day we drove to the Queen's View from where there was a stunning view of Loch Tummel. The walk from the car park to the viewing point was quite short and we decided to try to walk down the path to the water's edge. That turned out to be much longer and steeper than we had anticipated. We walked for about 30 minutes and then decided that the terrain was getting too steep and we had better reserve our energy for the climb back up to the carpark. Needless to say, we didn't meet anyone else on that part of the walk.
In the distance you can see Schiehallion "the mountain that weighed the earth" It's a Munro - a mountain over 3000 ft. Many years ago when J was in Round Table, we had an outing to walk up part of it as a family day out. We didn't get very far as most of the children were too young. it's a very interesting read if you want to Google it.
