Into the Hills……

After visiting a friend for a delicious lunch then calling in on other friends, I drove up the Taylor Pass Road to beyond the Dam. Then I hit open country and parked by the roadside for a few minutes. There was a farm gate on the other side of the road. Over forty years ago, during my jogging/running days, I and my training mates would drive out the night before a long run to hide bottles of water and bananas in the long grass beside the gate. Feeling a bit tired, we would stop there for a few minutes for a drink and snack. Good memories ……..
