A day out

Today's outing was necessitated by a realtor wanting to show their client our house.  We drove up island to explore around Qualicum Beach.  The first stop was Parksville - Qualicum Beach Wildlife Management Area ...... but there was no access to the estuary, and no birds to be seen from the roadside, likely due to the very low tide at the time.  Our next stop (extra photo) was French Creek Marina where there was lots of activity with boats coming and going - both commercial and pleasure craft.
