Kittiwakes
Still getting used to being at church half-an-hour earlier - and I didn't get home much earlier!
It must be a good sign when people don't hurry away after a service.
After yesterday's rain it was warm and sunny so after lunch we went to Arbroath for a walk along the cliffs and to see if there were any kittiwakes or fulmars, neither of which we'd seen this year. There were both, and also razorbills, guillemots, sand martins and various birds we'd already seen this year. There were also some herring gull chicks.
There was a good variety of wild flowers and a few butterflies, including the Common Blue in the extra.
Before returning home I put on my new road running shoes and did a short run to see how they felt. It was a hard run against the breeze to begin with, but great coming back, and the shoes seemed fine. They are a bit different from previous ones so I'll see if I have any issues tomorrow.
