Father's day
Gavin says he wakes up every morning and is grateful for another day when he feels fine. Today he felt even more grateful to enjoy a very special Father's Day. We went to lunch at his golf club - the boys reckon they serve the very best Sunday roast dinner in the world, and I think they could be right. It is absolutely delicious and I have never tasted anything better, their roast lamb is to die for! We packed our golf clothes in case we decided to play golf after lunch and if there were bookings available. There were many free bookings and Gavin felt strong enough to attempt playing golf again.
Tommy walked around the first hole and then went home to do some work, while Luke, Gavin and I played 9 holes. Gavin coped very well and in fact played one of his best rounds of 9 holes. We missed Adam very much today, it is times like these where we feel his absence very keenly.
It was at this golf course eight weeks ago that Gavin was suddenly ill and we had to go home. Amazing how the human body can recover so well in eight weeks.
Earlier this morning Gavin went to Waitrose to get something and he saw Matthew Goode shopping there again, thankfully now sans beard! (I never liked the beard..)I still have the final two episodes of Dept Q to watch tonight, I am no closer to knowing who the woman is who is holding Merritt captive but I am sure all will be revealed when I watch it tonight. I presume if the beard is gone they will not be filming a possible season 2 anytime soon.
