Wound up in Wexford

Achillea

Having visited a garden (was it Tintern Abbey?) where there was a lovely bed with huge drifts of achillea, when we had the new bed dug out earlier this year, I wanted to do something similar.

We bought packets of seeds, and W planted them.  Now we have huge numbers of baby plants.  But we won't know what colours until they flower - do we keep them in pots till then?

Note the solitary spring onion in the bed to the left - W has had very variable results with planting seeds this year.  No radishes germinated, just one spring onion, but the peas he planted for us to harvest pea shoots germinated in such profusion we couldn't keep up, and now they're producing peas!

In the evening, we went into Waterford for another concert - National Symphony Orchestra, playing lots of film music, with a very exuberant (to be frank, quite annoyingly so) conductor.
