Bedraggled
The forecast rain arrived with a vengeance. It bucketed down through mist laden skies. At lunchtime there was thunder - but we couldn’t see any lightning because of the mist. Arthur’s Seat, which we can normally see from the garden was a grey wall.
A morning meeting at church to look at options for improving access. Then a visit to a vacant manse to check on its status.
A family of foxes are living there and as we were leaving this one appeared and seemed relaxed about being in our company. Like everything else it was wet.
An afternoon visit to church coincided with an afternoon tea to raise funds for CrossReach perinatal services. The egg sandwiches were my favourite.
Back home to do some paperwork and tidying up and then some ironing while watching a Captain America film.
It’s amazing what can be achieved when the sun isn’t shining!
