4,500 ccs 4,500 Blips
Blip tells me that today is a blip milestone. I'm guessing it's because this is my 4,500th blip.
My image is from my Pictorial History of Cars by Peter Roberts. It's a four and a half litre (actually 4,398 ccs) Bentley, winner of the 1928 Le Mans driven by Sir Henry Birkin. Fitted with superchargers these cars were known as Blower Bentleys and the men who drove them The Bentley Boys. The four and a half litre is to automobiles what the Spitfire is to aircraft. Coincidental that the Le Mans 24 hours is taking place this weekend.
