Bearfly?

We had a lot of rain overnight and my long, flowering, unmown grass was flattened. Since then it has been quite windy. This has dried it out and it has partially recovered.

Not many bugs about today. This bumblebee mimic hoverfly is covered in pollen. It could be a dimorphic bearfly which mimics carder bumblebees.

I read this morning that cuckoos are starting to migrate southwards. We haven't had any summer yet. :(
