Fritillary
Earlier this year, my daughter's blip was of a Peacock butterfly, which while being quite a spectacular butterfly, is reasonably common. So I have waited a few weeks and ignored the Painted Lady, Large White, Red Admiral, Small Tortoiseshell etc and have chosen this one. The big, big snag is that I can see that it is a fritillary, I am not 100% sure which type.
The reason the accuracy is required is because I previously corrected my daughter's identification of a bird, and she will have pleasure in correcting me.
The butterflies have been magnificent this year and everyone should have a buddleia in their garden.
