The good, the bad and the downright ugly
I have started to bake bread and I thought that this would be an ideal pastime to use in our Church's "Talent" fund raising scheme. I have made 6 loaves and I intend to sell them tomorrow at the Morning Market for £1.50 each.
It has taken me all day to make the six loaves as I have only 2 bread tins. It would have been far cheaper and a lot quicker if I just gave the Church £9.00. Is there a principal involved that means I have to go through all this pain and suffering to earn about £1.00 per hour? And that did not take into account the cost of ingredients and electricity.
One strange fact is that despite the loaves all turning out very different, I used the same ingredients, the same quantities and the same cooking time in all of them.
Maybe I should ask £2.00 per loaf?
