Old boats

There has been a nautical thing going on in town this weekend. Yesterday when I went into town to buy fish there was a giant red ensign waving in the wind, held aloft by someone in a group of people around a pipe band. There are lots of old boats in the harbour, but it's a bit of a faff to see them and with a rucksack of tinned fish we went home and didn't take a closer look.

Today we saw some of the boats out in the River Rance, visible from our dog walk. Like flowers the dog wasn't interested in the boats either, he was more focused on small animals he could sniff and chase...
