Early start, Lili at the vets for 8:10!
The vet had requested an X-ray to see if there was any further build up of fluid on Lili's lungs or if her enlarged heart was pressing on the trachea.
We left Lili there, with her breakfast for after the tests, and went off to the supermarket. Long time since we had been shopping that early in the morning, was lovely and quiet.
Back home and ready for my hairdresser to visit. Our daughter arrived at the same time as the hairdresser and then started the colour treatment.
Then there was the call from the vets - arranged to go straight away for a consultation.
The results indicate a large mass/growth in front of her heart which is also near to her trachea. One option would be to operate and remove the growth with the follow on treatment dependent on what the growth is. The other option is to continue with palliative care.
Lili will be 17 in September and to put her through such surgery we believe would be too stressful for her. She can’t see, her hearing is poor, she has heart failure and suffers severely with allergic reactions to most things.
We have made the decision of palliative care.
She has been put on a low dose of steroid to help with any inflammation and to review the situation in a week or so.
Main photo of my streptocarpus - I won at a lace day a few years ago but struggle to keep it going. Extra is the flowers in my garden.
