Bare mountain and oddities
Today we have reached one of our goals on the trip: the bare mountains at Flatruet, Härjedalen county. We had planned to hike up to one of the peaks, not snow-covered, but had to turn around because the path up became too wet. The snow melted away there just a few weeks ago. It is so beautiful with bare mountains. I have wanted to go here for years. So wonderful that it finally happened.
Extras: There was snow left in patches. And of course, my husband would throw snowballs.
See what wonderful place we had for our lunch. (The hotel we stayed at had the service that you could buy lunch to take away). It tasted wonderful.
So a couple of odd attractions. In the forest there is what some researchers say is a meteorite ring. Some claim that it was created 4000 years ago, others say 2000 years ago. Whatever, I say. But now we have seen (at my husband's wish) the pit in the ground the meteorite ring.
The other odd attraction was a mural in a small village. It depicts Evert Ljusberg, in Sweden a very famous troubadour, ballad singer, entertainer, and the fictitious Republic of Jamtland's president from 1989 until his death. In the paint painting is also his brother. I liked this odd attraction.
