Enjoying the Countryside

A huge bus outing was organised today: 5-6 hours of bus travel there and back and a visit to a concentration camp. I chose not to join the group, but to stay here in the village here, go for walks alongside fields with birdsong and use the swimming pool. I also have plenty to read. So lovely to have a relaxing day without dashing somewhere! We’ll all have dinner together at 7 pm.

Today is the hottest day so far at 35C. My hotel room is air- conditioned … such luxury! I may not want to leave next Monday!
