Schoolboys Studying At The Botanics
It is quite a few weeks since I have enjoyed a visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh.
After I dropped Pat off at the Scottish Arts Club I drove to Arboretum Place.
I was no sooner in the West Gate Visitor Centre when I was asked if I was Dakers Fleming. I could not deny the fact and I found myself involved in a detailed conversation about NTS volunteering.
This took about 10 minutes or so and I found myself in possession of information that I will need to follow up when I am at Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse on Sunday.
I really enjoyed my visit to the Gardens. Some 80 photographs later I picked today’s entry.
RBGE is often visited by Edinburgh Schoolchildren carrying out practical studies in the fresh air.
The thumbnail of today’s entry shows three schoolboys from Edinburgh Academy working on a questionnaire. It took me back about sixty years.
They called me Sir! They were accompanied by Teachers and Chaparones.
Apparently many schools use the facilities provided by RBGE.
