The Smallest Lotus Elise?

A quick calculation gives a scale of 1/100 full size. It is a part of a Lotus Keyring supplied in 1999.

I did drive a bright yellow Lotus Elise and covered about 60000 miles in 3 years. Apparently a very high mileage for an Elise. However, it was our only car and we drove all over Scotland on various projects.

One day the car decided that it had enough. The steering arm on the nearside fractured as I was driving along a narrow country road near The Gauldry.

The car steered itself into a rather deep roadside ditch and that was that. One destroyed Lotus Elise.

LOTUS ? Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious? It is an old comment. I enjoyed every mile I drove in that, apart from the last 50 yards.

The extra shows a ‘trophy’ I won at the 1999 Lotus Drivers Day.
I think that the Quad Bike Driver’s Course I attended a few months before probably helped.

I replaced the Elise with a Porsche Boxster S which covered 157,000 miles with no ‘dramas’ at all.

This entry has been inspired by a rather large amount of Lotus paraphernalia which I am about to sell on eBay.
