Blowing A Hoolie!

The weather forecast was nearly correct, not for the rain initially but the wind. There would have been no chance to get to the summit of Screel Hill with the wind that was blowing today so we scrubbed the idea of doing the big walk, and settled down to watch the weather. It seemed that given there was no rain we would take Dixie down to the sand at Portling and walk over to a cave we know maybe 2/3 of a mile away. The wind was incessant and hard at our back on the way over, but on the way back the weather gods threw in some horizontal rain, my how we saw the funny side of being soaked through even with full waterproofs.
