My Garden

We had beautiful, if but a little warm, weather today. Perfect day for breakfast on the front porch. It was breezy; how I enjoy the melodious wind chimes and birds. I found a few casualties from yesterday’s planting. My sister instructed me on how to easily root the broken pieces in the garden. My garden looks so nice right now that I decided it would be my blip. My first doctor appointment was at 9:45. My doctor was pleased with my weight loss and associated test results. However, she did see some concerning data. I will not fret until we have further test results. But I was certainly unprepared for any other issues. Hubby put a down payment (of sorts) on a new car. He had decided on a minimum amount he would accept for his current Toyota SUV with 94,000+ miles. They met that and he was able to negotiate a reasonable price on the new vehicle. It will be the the 2025 model of what he has with only two rows of seats (I.e., more cargo room) and it is a hybrid (better gas mileage). His current car has fewer bells and whistles so he is excited to be getting upgrades like a heated steering wheel. He is not sure when it will arrive at the dealer though. It is in country so no tariff cost add ons. He came home and trimmed the property. He is picking up Brooklyn from a friend’s house and taking her home. Yesterday was the last day of school for my grands. I did a load of laundry, made a cheese quesadilla for lunch and tried to prepare myself mentally for my dental appointment at 2:00. I am really disappointed with the broken tooth. We have a few last minute jobs before we leave tomorrow. We won’t be heading out until noon so we will be finished in loads of time. Looking forward to watching Parker play this weekend. I need a distraction. Wishing you an enjoyable weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. UPDATE: My dentist says all I need is a cap on the broken tooth, no root canal or crown. We have to wait for insurance authorization. My day is getting lots better. Lord, thanks for answering my prayer. "A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all, it teaches entire trust." – Gertrude Jekyl
