Modish behaviour

A trip down to Edinburgh to see Quadrophenia: A Mod Ballet, currently playing at the Festival Theatre.

We drive down which meant we could visit T's Dad where we also caught up with his brother A. Both were on good form.

I was expecting the ballet itself to feature a series of dance pieces set to the songs of The Who but instead was treated to a full length narrative ballet with a full orchestral score. I really enjoyed it - all the dancers were excellent as was the staging (a good mix of traditional sets and video). It also felt fresh.  The final scene was extremely powerful and moving - it really did provide an emotional punch.

Well worth the trip down.
