Sempervivum

Today I learnt that sempervivums are also known as houseleek, apparently because they were traditionally grown on house roofs. Strange but not as strange as their flowers which also look slightly alien to me.

This morning saw yoga - we were doing very precise and controlled movements and I felt extremely relaxed afterwards.  

This afternoon I took some clothes to a charity shop, some books to the station book shop and even shelved them. I also had my picture taken with other volunteers for a local publication featuring businesses and community groups.
