The Kelpies are coming

The Kelpies (mythical sea horses) are being raised piece by piece.
They are the main feature of an area called The Helix which is centered round the Clyde and Forth canal running through Falkirk from The Falkirk Wheel.
A water themed park and nature reserve are all part of the development.

The Kelpies stand facing towards the South East and look onto Grangemouth.
This is where the canal runs out to the Forth estuary and out towards Edinburgh and, ultimately, the North Sea.
