Gaia

Another big day of steps as we explored Porto.
Walked our way over to the other side of Porto, Gaia, where all the port cellars lie, we considered doing a cellar tour but didn’t want to get too inebriated too early :)))
So we wandered back across the bridge up to the University to do a walking tour. Tiago regaled us with the history of Portugal which I’m ashamed to say I knew nothing about. Porto is definitely the poorer cousin of Lisbon, it has it ‘s charm but quite run down in places and quite a sprawl. A lot of hills in the 28 degree heat so we deserved our tapas at a fab place we’d been recommended.cod with aioli, prawn tacos and a chickpea stew. Gorgeous
