Just a bee at sundown...
I spent a very busy morning, writing up the minutes of last night's parish council meeting (which of course I also Chaired). At the last minute my Clerk was rushed to hospital and there was no time to put a Plan B together, so I put on my big boy pants and pressed on regardless. My plight wasn't the issue really, and I'm hoping very much that all is well.
It was with some relief therefore that I went off with Janet for a very enjoyable lunch with Greg and Cathy, Brendan and Sarah, at a pub in a neighbouring village. The beers were very tasty and the Irish coffee that followed put me into a very relaxed mode. There was a walk later, but I'm not sure where it went.
As the Sun went down over the back of the garden I noticed this bumblebee, probing the foxgloves and catching the sunlight as he went in and out of the flowers. I couldn't really focus on him at all well, but that's what expensive cameras are for... Probably ready for another coffee now. ;-)
