Venford Falls

We had a lovely morning and once I'd got a few jobs done i decided to go out for a jaunt. It's the Wide on Wednesday challenge, hosted by steveng and the theme for today is 'soft organic from nature'. 

I decided to go up to the moor and took my lunch with me. I parked by Venford reservoir and took the path above Venford Brook. The brook runs in a deep valley so it's a steep climb down (and up again). Once down to the falls level it's another careful climb down to the wet bit, but I sat down and had my lunch first enjoying the view and the sound of the water. 

As you can see it's a twin falls. It seems to be the same whether the weather has been wet or dry. i suppose that's because it has a large header tank up stream. I mean the Venford reservoir 0f course. It's a love;y place and I didn't see another soul while I was there. Just the way I like it!

I took quite a few photos while I was there but my blip is panorama of a few portrait format shots and I like the way the trees at the top add to the image. I reckon it's all pretty natural here so I think we fit into the theme very well.
