City Walls
We spent the morning in the city. We decided to start by walking the city walls but the first part from Micklegate Bar was closed because of work going on. We got on it further round but soon went down when we spotted somewhere for coffee. Today's blip is taken from the wall, the lovely house and garden you see is now Gray's Court, a hotel and the garden is their Champagne garden. It was previously the official residence of the Treasurer of York Minster. Dating back in part to 1080, it's said to be one of the oldest continually occupied residences in the UK.
