Mini Quilt

In the morning I weeded and edged one of the flower beds. We then discussed and decided where to plant some of our recent purchases - and I left W doing that because I went to play in the sewing room.

This quilt is just about 20 inches square. I'm not sure what I can or will use it for, but it was a fun project to make - lots of little pieces - each of the small squares is just 1 inch square.  I was under a bit of (self-imposed) pressure, as I wanted to get it to this point - a quilt sandwich - so I could take it to sewing group tomorrow, where I could start to hand quilt it. 

In the evening I went to flute group - the last one till after the summer. But we're hoping to get a slot on Culture Night (19th September), so we made arrangements for rehearsals early in September.

I actually had to finish attaching the borders and making the quilt sandwich after getting home from flute group.
