Stuck On You

This is the tool cupboard in my garage. The stickers on it are all at least 25 years old. The fridge magnets, not so much, but our fridge is an integrated one so I can’t stick them on that!
Those stickers come from a time before selfies and social media. A time when a programme and one or two rolls of film worth of prints were the only evidence you’d attended an event. But you could also get a lot closer to the teams back then, and they were only too happy to hand out stickers to all and sundry. The programmes and photos are all up in the loft and might get looked at once a year, but I see these stickers every time I go in the garage. Good memories.
I’ve felt a lot better today. Even managed to get to the gym, where my trainer ran me through some new exercises I wanted to put in my workout programme. And I mowed the lawns this afternoon. They didn’t really need doing, but today looks like it’ll be the driest day of the week so it makes sense to get them cut.
After all that, I am feeling a bit washed out now. I’ll make myself a Lemsip and settle down in front of the telly. Hopefully that will restore a bit of energy…
