Round Two
Today has been pleasurably busy.
I started by putting on a quick washing having realised the temperature was much warmer and it would be likely to dry outside.
I then headed for Meggetland for my Cursillo Reunion group. We all had lots to share today and the sunshine made sitting outside pleasant. Two of the three of us have just appointed new Rectors.
I then came back to Davidsons Mains, dropping something off at Ali's on the way. Today is my charity shop day. I found myself doing a bit of pastoral care for our manager for whom life has been getting complicated. Isn't it strange sometimes how much easier it is to see things differently and find ways forward when you are not directly involved. I hope I helped, at least I listened.
I did my grandma duty this morning when I phoned to arrange a nail appointment for Eilidh, her 'Quali' dance is on Thursday. She was somewhat bemused on learning where the term Quali came from and that the name had outlived, by over half a century, the actual selection process for secondary school that it commemorated.
The Qualifying exam had gone by the time I came to P7 in the 60's By then we had moved to IQ testing to decide our secondary school destination. One test in P6 and another in P7. My blip today is my Magnolia which appears to be having a second wind.
