Cerne Abbas Giant
It rained a bit this morning, but as it cleared up we thought an expedition would be good. We headed to Cerne Abbas to find the giant. He is very big, around 180feet tall, and we walked up and around him. You can’t really see him from up there, although we did see lots of sheep nibbling around. We then had a wander through the village which is extremely pretty with a stream and lovely gardens, and then to the viewpoint which is rather distant but you can see all of him!
We went on to Lulworth Cove, hoping for a cream tea and a walk to Durdle Dor. Hmmm…the car park was £12 to stay more than one hour!! And it was very busy with foreign tourists queuing for refreshments. So a quick look down into the cove and a delicious homemade ice cream, then we used our £12 more wisely restocking our provisions for consumption in the garden!
