Plan failed, fallback option engaged.
Not had much time for photography or blip recently.
Today I had a plan to head down into town and try for a street image. There were a couple of opportunities that I missed, I ran out of energy, it was hot and I was outside 'Spoons so I reverted to a beer in the sun.
A pint for £1:69 !.
It's not unusual for a pint in a pub now to be in the £7 bracket, I read an article the other day which said the £10 pint is on the horizon. Pubs are closing every week because they are not viable yet somehow Spoons buck the trend.
Jess joined me later for a medium white wine & soda which was £4:35, the same drink in the Pheasant Inn Bassenthwaite was £8:65.
So 4 medium glasses to a bottle = £34:60 for a bottle which was probably a fiver! (wholesale)...
I don't see how the British Pub can survive at this rate, however Spoons are doing it I hope they can keep it up.
