Thanking the well
A big day somewhere in Wicklow! The conference didn't start until 1pm so I had time for a leisurely breakfast and then went off to inspect a well - no way can you drive past a village called Toberpatrick without investigating! This well was off the beaten track, percolating nicely, a hawthorn tree above and a very vocal chaffinch.
The conference was really enjoyable - about 100 people gathered in St Mogue's village Hall, all interested and interesting - including dear Jeano who had come down from fresh from her dip in the nip and post partying to see me. It was lovely to have catch up. I was the first speaker and pleased to get it over with. There were five others and then a Q&A, then we all headed down to a local well. Here is Cait, a shamanic healer, thanking the well for its participation. She sang softly and it was very moving, at one point being joined by a small robin.
I was wrecked by the evening and ate a curious of supper of anything I could find - a bit of smelly cheese a few strawberries and half a cinnamon bun.
