Peony-gate

You may have wondered..
where are all the peony
photos this year.. well..

When we build our extension 5 years ago we had to dig up our peonies and move them.. they were not ecstatic about this but it was better than going in the skip.. they are now a bit over shadowed by some ribes type plants that are making a play for world domination and my gardening time could fit on the back of a postage stamp… so poor sad peony has only had one bud and flower this year.. it’s a beaut though! And here it is (with my hand holding it up because it’s too heavy!!)
Breast feeding group this morning but no attendees.. then walked dog, made some pesto and dealt with a huge amount of documentation for Ben’s move to residential.. it was definitely a good thing to get off my to do list.
Just waiting for Ben to come home now, apparently he swallowed a small kerplunk marble at school today :-/ so that’s nice. He swallowed a 20p once and that made its way out with no drama so I think a mini ball will be ok but honestly, there’s always something to worry about.
