He was concerned by the many struggling and sick people of Paris. Close to his cathedral he had built the first major hospital in the city. He dedicated it to Saint Christopher. The name of tge hospital was later changed to Hotel-Dueu and the modern successor can be seen north of Notre Dame.

I have been super busy today but all enjoyable.

After breakfast, prayers and some housework, I went out taking photographs.
I climbed up the railway embankment to look for the wild spotted orchids that grow there. I found a lovely one in a nice bright magenta. It's on my other blip journal if you want to see it.

I put washing on the line and pegged it securely because the wind is strong today.

I up potted three Mother of Thousands plants. I am going to give a plant to Maria when she visits us on Father's Day.

Time to unpack the shopping now.
