An iris?

I spotted this rather beautiful flower struggling to be seen amongst the long green grass on the way home from an early lunch with a friend.  It looks like some kind of yellow iris.
Well Miranda has confirmed it is an iris but a wild one that goes by the name of Stinking iris.  I have put an extra photo up showing the berries from this iris (taken quite a few years ago).  Thank you Miranda.
