Ragged Robin

The abundant floral display continues to impress. Little ringed plovers were feeding on the mudbanks and the sedge warblers were performing their usual ritual of trying to vocally divert my attention away from their nest. A dip in the river helped ease some of the aches in my lower back and entertained the passengers on the passing train. A breakfast of rhubarb crumble and custard was a simple treat before chatting to a few friendly campers as they enjoyed entertaining Dippy.
A fun train ride to Carmarthen with plenty of socialising which included helping a couple get out of a sticky situation with their car which was impaled on a metal post in a car park.
An unsuccessful attempt to find some stout walking shoes means that I may have to widen my search to Swansea another day.
My neighbours gifted me the perishable contents of their larder before they left for home, supper sorted and bacon sandwiches forecast for the next couple of days:))
Zzzzzz
