Amongst the grass

After yesterday's rain we had a mainly dry day today.  It was still fairly cloudy and relatively cool.  We decided to visit Labrador Bay an area we hadn't been to before.  We were interested in seeing the Cirl Buntings and other birds.

It's an area at the top of the cliffs overlooking the sea and the coastal footpath with some lovely views across Lyme Bay.  We managed to see a pair of Cirl Buntings which were a fair distance away but not much else.  I spotted this flower Echium plantagineum or purple viper's bugloss amongst a nearby field.  After a wander down to the coastal path and a steep climb back up we decided to head back home.
