Another busy 1 today— and ...

... is this too much coriander? The answer is NO! Never! 
Homemade bibimbap, with pickled ccucumber and LOTS of coriander- yummy!

We were supposed to be heading out in the afternoon to visit friends, so the morning was full of garden tidying and trying to sort the odds and ends left in the fridge. Then, at 11:30am, I got a text: “Just going for a spot of lunch—then we’ll head over!”

What?! I’d thought we were meeting them in town. Cue a mad dash to throw some lunch together before they arrived. I needn’t have bothered—they eventually turned up at 2:30pm 
Still, silver lining—we didn’t need to go out after all.

They stayed until 8:30pm (yes, six hours!) and most of that time was spent listening to her recount the entire life story of people we don’t even know. Gawd almighty!
Her husband and daughter are lovely—interesting and easy to talk to—but she just takes over and doesn’t let anyone else get a word in. Our new catchphrase? “And erm…” 

In other news...
Only one more sleep to go, and just a few more bits to tick off the to-do list.
