They're Back!
This morning I got some jobs done around the house and garden. Whilst in the garden, I looked for a blip and heard the blue tit fledglings calling, then they suddenly went silent and, looking up, I saw a red kite flying just above the trees. The fledglings were soon back on the feeders and getting food for themselves - nice to see them back in the garden. I also saw a dunnock which I'm not sure if it is a fledgling, see the collage in Extras.
After lunch I settled down to watch the French Open final between Sinner and Alcaraz, which must be one of the best matches / finals I've ever seen. Such high quality throughout five long sets, decided on a Championship tiebreak in five and a half hours and won by my favourite player since Federer retired - Carlos Alcaraz (who had saved three Championship points against him in the fourth set). There was really nothing to tell the two players apart. Now on to the grass court season!
