Crazy trio

We met up with friends we usually only ever see once a year at a campsite in France.
Sadie and I had decided it would be nice to see each other before the summer holidays for the children to play and catch up. We met at Rutland water and had booked a session on the inflatable aqua park.
Sadie’s husband, Thom was meant to come but ended up in A&E with a perforated ear drum. Andrew too managed to get out of it, suffering with his hayfever and not having slept most of the night!
So it was down to Sadie and I to take five children on the water. I was worried that Max might be too nervous but hadn’t expected for one minute that Anya would be the one that would hate it! I had to send her to swim back to the shore whilst trying to keep up with Max who was off and showing no fear at all!
My lack of upper body strength did not do me well and clearly muscles I haven’t used for years being used. (I could barely move the next day!)
I can’t say I enjoyed the experience but hey, the boys loved it!
We spent the rest of the afternoon at the park and didn’t leave until the whole place was empty and the car park was about to shut at 6 pm.
