Mother and Daughter

Managed to get a bit closer to one of the newborn red deer this morning. I'm pretty sure the calf is a girl, but there is always room for doubt at these distances.

I also checked a trail camera I put out last week to see if I could capture any footage of the wildlife nearby. I definitely got a fox and heron by the stream but was also chuffed to get a couple of short reels with one of the calves.

We spent more time at L's mom's house trying to clear more of the contents. The sale seems to be progressing so we will have to make it ready for the new occupants soon. It's sad that things that she kept for many years can lose their value, now she has passed. There's a certain guilt when you reluctantly take it to a local tip.
