Today has been considerably more relaxing than yesterday.  Today I made my over to the Douglas Pavilion in the Explorers Garden at the Theatre for a yin based yoga workshop inspired by the Living Mountain by Nan Shepherd.  A  play on Nan Shepherd's life is currently showing at the Theatre.

The teacher was very skilful at integrating readings and visualising with yin poses and I really enjoyed the whole experience. The pavilion was a lovely setting, including hearing the rain on the roof and watching water drops on the leaves of the trees outside. The two actors in the play also joined the workshop which was nice.

Afterwards I had lunch with AMcD and it was nice to sit and chat and look at the river.

(The card in the picture has yes on one side and no on the other and could be used to indicate whether you welcomed assistance from the teacher or not, which I though was a nice touch.  We used the eye pillows in shavasana which I'd never tried before. It added to the experience.  I have since ordered my own to use at home).

A quiet evening at home beckons.
