Bellflowers
I needed some petrol for a couple of days away, so that was the perfect excuse for a visit to the National Trust's The Vyne. The weather did not agree and it threatened to rain as I arrived so a walk around the house was in order. After an introduction from a friend from choir, who volunteers at the property, I had an interesting walk round. Though it was a little disconcerting as I was one of the last visitors of the day, and we were followed round by the, I assume, house manager closing up the rooms as we left!
There was just time for a coffee before heading back to the car via the gardens and dodging the showers. I spotted these bellflowers glistening with raindrops in front of the dovecote.
