Water levels fully restored!
A couple of weeks ago I blipped the view of this bay - just adjacent to Friars Crag. The water levels were so low from the dry weather that it was virtually empty. People were saying to me "It'll take a long time for the water levels to recover" How wrong they were.
Derwentwater - and most of the other lakes are all back to, and fuller than normal. The path to the Chinese Bridge south of the lake in Borrowdale is already flooded. So the worry of hosepipe bans have gone.
All we need now is a bit if dry weather to enjoy the full lakes!
Despite shooting this on my 14mm lens, I still had to shoot it as a stitched pano as I was pressed against the fence and couldn't get back far enough to get it all in a single shot!
