REGIONAL BASEBALL
It's State Tournament time for the local high school baseball team. Today we played a team from New Berlin in Regional action and we shellacked them 11-0 in 6-innings. When a team is 10 runs ahead in the 6th inning, the game is over. Now on to the next game in the tournament.

The home team is in the black shirts and #3 is called "safe" at home plate on a passed ball. That's when the catcher lets the pitch get away from him and the runner on 3rd base tries to make it home before the catcher throws the ball to the pitcher who is covering home plate. Clearly, he made it.

Xtra: This is another home team player sliding head first into home plate and eating some dirt in the process. He was safe as the catcher waited for the throw which was not in time. And I was late with the shot....I was anticipating action on another part of the ball diamond and only caught this runner stealing home out of the corner of my eye. It was a lucky shot.
