Painting - shopping - more painting (all done now bar the ceiling) - finally taking the factory fitted plastic protection off all the fitted units. That was a fun job .... not!
It should have been a very satisfying thing to do... 
Over 4 hours!
All down to (I suspect) a designer coming up with a way to apply the removable protective coating (a good idea) but not taking into consideration  how to remove it when it is all built and in-situ. 
Fitters obviously suggest leaving it until all decorating is done.
What is not taken into consideration is how to remove the stuff when handles have been fitted and there is only a millimetre or two between doors/drawers and the adhering film covers the edges as well the fronts.
Removing the stuff without leaving torn bits sticking in the gaps is virtually impossible.
I resorted to that do-it-all tool......the Swiss Army Knife. 
It was still a swine of a job which is why it took hours.
