Bystock Pools

It’s been a busy day. The morning was spent with our grandchildren keeping them entertained. They eventually left for Exmouth just before lunch and l went to the Devon Clubs Battle held in Woodbury.

It’s quite strange moving quickly from a very child oriented environment into a photography club one but a welcome change.

The Exmouth club was hosting and l as well as several others had baked cakes for the occasion. It started with the print panels and l had participated in our one. The panels are five prints each by a different photographer but with a common theme. There were only six entrants but each panel
was very different from each other. Our panel came second which we were delighted with. This was followed by a selection of different prints from each club.

An enjoyable afternoon. It had meant that we were indoors all afternoon so l couldn’t resist popping out of the car on the way home for a quick glimpse of Bystock Pools. I’m glad I did as the scene was so calm and peaceful.

I then quickly returned home. Our daughter and family had returned from an afternoon on the beach at Exmouth and were now preparing to pack their car for the journey home. We all had a quick tea and they eventually finished packing and headed home. It’s been an enjoyable and tiring time and a good holiday for them.
