Almost tropical

It’s been a warm sunny but breezy day. While our son in law was working we all went out to Sidmouth. We had a lovely time as the children enjoyed themselves both in the playground and on the beach.

This almost tropical scene with the Echium pininana growing in the background was by the sensory garden where we ate our picnic. As I had forgotten my phone l made use of my daughter’s for today’s blip.

We had timed our arrival so that the tide was out and with the sand exposed below the higher pebbles. Both grandsons enjoyed themselves immensely running around and making sandcastles.

We couldn’t resist having an ice cream at the popular local ice cream shop in town afterwards.

An enjoyable day at the seaside.
